Simulations

Data that drives Development

Controls Software is the simulations subteam working in Simulink and Python to test and iterate on our rocket controller software while also starting the process of creating our analytic rocket software, KRONOS. This semester, the team will be working on MAURICE to ensure our flight software works on ELECTRIC ANGEL, our flight computer for MAURICE 2.1.

Component Analysis is the simulations subteam working in ANSYS to perform aerodynamic simulations and collect a database of aileron deflection forces to size and perform controls on MAURICE 2.1. This semester this team will also perform fluid simulations to calculate the pressure drop across our engine injector, and recirculation zone studies on our engine, in addition to structural simulations to validate bolt calculations for our engine.
