Fluids and Internal Structures
The Fluids and Internal Structures Team manages propellant storage, delivery systems, and internal structural components that support the rocket's operation. This team ensures proper fluid management throughout the rocket system, from storage to delivery to the engine.
Our work encompasses the design and analysis of propellant tanks, feed lines, valves, and all internal structures that support these critical systems. We work closely with the Engine and Pumps teams to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance.
Designing efficient and reliable propellant management systems is crucial for rocket performance. We focus on creating systems that can handle high-pressure fluids while maintaining structural integrity and minimizing weight.
Our team performs extensive fluid dynamics analysis to optimize flow characteristics and prevent issues such as cavitation and pressure drops. We also develop and test fill and venting systems for safe propellant handling.

Beyond fluid management, our team designs the internal structural components that provide support and rigidity to the rocket's systems. This includes bulkheads, mounting brackets, and support structures.
Currently, we are developing the fill and venting systems for RAND-E, focusing on cryogen-capable fluids system analysis and implementation to support future high-altitude missions.
